Each Democrat has evolved into being such, through the process of their emotions. That is there isn't a single Democrat on this planet who ever became one, through the process of intelligent critical thinking, otherwise they wouldn’t have become one in the first place.
This means that somewhere along the way, a Democrat has suffered some kind of traumatic experience (either directly or indirectly), to which they whole-heartedly feel was the root cause of the 'Right'. Which now grants them the ability to forgo critical thinking, anytime it contradicts that which they believe is true.
If you look at how Democrats view Republicans today, they believe, that Republicans are nothing more than Greedy, Racist, Sexist, Homophobes.. Who don't even care about the poor! And if such is the case, then what more do they need to know??? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It's a case closed, done deal.
Most of the Democrats I know today are gay, and one doesn't have to dig deep to understand why most gays dislike Republicans. It’s simple, Republicans don't support gay marriage. Okay, so LGBT community takes extreme offense to that (as they should), and viola, that personal attack now ignites a response, F@CK YOU REPUBLICANS! WE HATE YOU!!! ROT IN HELL!!! Which is completely understandable. Heck, if I was gay, I'd be out their chanting "F@ck those M@ther F@ckers" as well. So I totally give the LGBT community a high five defending an infringement upon their rights there. HIGH FIVE.
Now the pain that was inflicted upon them, has given them the ability to forgo all critical thinking from here on out, because it's no longer about anything other than defeating ‘A MONSTER' (aka Republicans), remember the one that wounded/scarred them.
So for Democrats it's NOT a battle between 'Right vs. Wrong' (or any other sort of intellectual battle whatsoever), no for them this has become a Holy Crusade!!! A battle between Good Vs. Evil. And there's not a shred of doubt in their own minds, that they could ever be on the wrong side, because THEY KNOW how it was the other side that caused their own suffering.
Because of this, Democrats will not allow their mind, to accept anything, and I mean A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G, that contradicts with 'That Belief'. This abandonment of logic and reason could be so severe, that it could cause the black community to support the party of the KKK, the one that issued Jim Crow Laws, the one that birthed Planned Parenthood (with whom the founder even expressed was created to help 'eliminate the inferior non-white races'). Their minds just wont allow them to see contradicting truth. No matter how apparent it may be, like a 'Feminist' pushing for Sharia Law, or the LGBT community defending Islam, or a black person being a Democrat. They are solely driven by their pain, which again they feel was caused by the other side. So ones susceptibility to truth, is equivalent to their own ability to look at something from a critical perspective, rather than an emotional one.
For them, Republican's are not members of the other party, it's a person who is either Greedy, Racist, Sexist, and/or Homophobic (a MONSTER in their eyes). And they're not intellectually capable of agreeing with monsters.
Personally I'm not a member of either party, which I think grants me a clearer perspective than most. For me 'political sides' are hardly more than an erroneous illusion, because once in power they both serve the 'Deep State' (the true power behind the facade of our democracy), and not We the People.
The true enemy (the Deep State) is so powerful, that it has beguiled its own adversaries (We The People) to do battle against each other, SO THAT WE NEVER FIGHT THEM. Bloody brilliant. Pure evil genius.
And the paradox is that I can't make YOU see the truth of it, because if I'm not a Democrat like you then I'm akin to a monster. And if I was a Democrat, then I'd have to be completely naive to all this, so I wouldn't be able to tell you then either. lol
This is why politics today, has become nothing more than an antiquated battle, who's outcome itself is even irrelevant because either way, it doesn't affect the war--being that the true enemy isn't even being fought in the first place.
